What BestSlip collects, why, who it is shared with, and how to get a copy of your data or have it deleted.

Last updated .

This policy explains what BestSlip collects, why, and what you can do about it. It describes the service as it is actually built; if that changes, this page changes with it and the date above moves.

What we collect

If you never create an account

You can compare odds, use every calculator and read every article without an account, and we do not ask you for anything to do so. What is collected in that case is analytics, described below.

If you create an account

  • Your email address and password. Authentication is handled by Supabase. Passwords are hashed by Supabase and are never visible to us.
  • Your profile. A display name, an optional username and your privacy setting for whether your record is public.
  • Your bets. The selections, prices, stakes and results you record in the Bet Tracker, and the figures we calculate from them.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and understand which pages are read. It sets cookies in your browser and reports to Google, which processes that data on our behalf. The measurement identifier is in our public source code; we do not run a second analytics system, and we do not use advertising or remarketing tags.

Analytics is disabled in development and on preview deployments, so only the live site reports anything. If you would rather not be counted, browser-level tracking protection and the Google Analytics opt-out add-on both work, and nothing on this site depends on analytics running.

The only other cookies we set are the session cookies Supabase uses to keep you signed in. They are strictly necessary for an account to function, and they are not used for tracking.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

What other people can see

Your bet history is private by default. Making an individual slip public, or making your profile public, is an explicit action you take — and it can be undone at any time from your profile settings. Public slips appear on the Public Picks page and can be seen by anyone.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and everything attached to it. Write to privacy@bestslip.com and we will act on it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or Canada's PIPEDA; the request address is the same.

Children

BestSlip is not intended for anyone below the legal betting age where they live, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. See our responsible gambling page for more on age limits, which vary by state and province.
