What BestSlip is

BestSlip compares the prices sportsbooks publish, shows which book has the best number on each selection, and calculates what a bet or a parlay would return. It also keeps a record of bets you have placed and reports what that record actually amounts to: profit, return on investment, win rate and the breakdowns underneath them.

BestSlip is an independent odds comparison and betting analytics platform. We are not a sportsbook and we do not facilitate wagering.

What BestSlip is not

BestSlip does not accept bets or deposits. There is no wallet, no deposit, no withdrawal and no way to place a wager here. When you find a price worth taking, you take it at the sportsbook that posted it.

We are also not a tipping service. Nothing on this site predicts the outcome of a game, and nothing on it should be read as advice to make a particular bet. Our articles explain how prices are constructed and how to measure results; both of those are useful, and neither of them tells you who is going to win.

Sportsbook names are used to identify publicly posted odds. BestSlip claims no partnership or affiliation with them.

How we handle odds

Every price we display is a number a single sportsbook posted, not a consensus or an average. We mark the best available price on each selection and show what the difference is worth on a $100 stake. Parlays are priced by multiplying true decimal odds; selections from the same game are flagged rather than priced, because correlated outcomes need a sportsbook's own model and a number we invented would be wrong.

Odds shown are demo data for product development, not live sportsbook prices.

How we write

The BestSlip blog exists to explain the mechanics: what a price means, where the sportsbook's margin sits inside it, and which measurements are worth taking. We write about process rather than picks. Every formula we publish is one of the functions behind our own calculators, which is the only way we know to keep the explanation and the product honest with each other.

We do not publish guaranteed returns, invented testimonials or claims about beating the market. If an article tells you something is likely to lose money over time, that is the article doing its job.
